As Associate Food Editor Anna Stockwell puts it, "Watermelon feta salad, always and forever, amen." Try this combo once and you'll never want to eat feta cheese any other way.
5. SERVE IT WITH PROSCIUTTO
Nothing beats the classic Italian pairing of melon with prosciutto. It's great on its own, or top a salad with pieces of prosciutto-wrapped watermelon.
6. ADD IT TO CEVICHE
The bright crunch of very fresh watermelon can add nice texture into a bowl of ceviche and helps give it a tropical feel. The natural sweetness of shrimp and lobster pair especially well with watermelon.
Buzz the melon until smooth. Strain it if you want it extra smooth, although we're totally cool with a little texture (and the extra fiber) in our cup.
17. FLAVOR YOUR LEMONADE
Now you've got watermelon juice, add it to everything. Turn lemonade a sweet pink with a splash of fresh watermelon juice.
18. OR MAKE IT INTO JUICE POPS
Yes, freezing watermelon cubes is the easiest. But it's nearly as easy to pour juice into ice pop molds and freeze. Add lime juice and tequila for a spin on the margarita.
19. FREEZE IT
Make a granita. Combine the juice with some sugar into a shallow container and freeze, stirring every few hours with a fork to agitate the ice crystals into a fluffy texture. Like a snow cone, only better.
20. ADD TO YOUR SMOOTHIE
Adding some watermelon pieces to your smoothie. This combo of strawberries, watermelon, ginger, and lime juice is just as delicious in the morning as it is come happy hour, splashed with a shot of rum.
21. OR YOUR MARGARITA
Out of ice? Frozen watermelon comes to the rescue in this margarita, turning the cocktail frosty and sweet at the same time.
