Mercato Opens Picnic-Inspired Food Market in Makati

The small park between the Glorietta 4 and 5 malls in Makati has become the city’s newest picnic hotspot.

Through a partnership with Ayala Malls, Mercato Centrale recently unveiled its first picnic-inspired food market at the Dolphin Park. Here, guests can lay picnic mats and grab a bite from any of the food stalls.

Benches, chairs and tables have also been provided for those who do not want to sit on the ground.

“Our patrons can enjoy a variety of great tasting and affordable food choice and live music performances at our first outdoor, picnic-inspired market,” said Mercato co-founder and food blogger Anton Diaz.

Media personality RJ Ledesma, also a co-founder of Mercato, for his part said: “Mercato Glorietta is also a great place to bring over tourists and balikbayan friends who want a taste of our local food culture.”

Here’s a look at some of the offerings at Mercato at Glorietta, which is open every Thursday and Friday from 4 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Food stalls surround the Dolphin Park at Glorietta, with the garden serving as a dining area.

Vendors prepare for the arrival of customers at the food market at the Dolphin Park.

Whether you’re craving for isaw or looking for a full meal, Mercato’s picnic-inspired food market offers something that fits your budget.
