Oprah on Being a Recent Victim of Racism

White, black, brown, yellow......No matter what our differences are...we all look at the same moon.

I shared the above video because what happened to Oprah Winfrey hit me. Yes, racism happens to anyone. The sales girl does not recognize Oprah but if she did then the situation must be different. The thing is, what if it's not Oprah but someone like her color? Or an Asian lady, would the treatment be different? I don't think so. The sales girl is racist.

I believe in what Oprah said and she deserve apologies. It's sad how other people look at colors and nationalities different from their own. Good for them that they are born that way. What if it's the other way around? Will they like it? Will they like how other people treat them?

We don't choose our colors or to what part of the country we'll be born in. God put us where we are for a purpose and I'm proud to where I am now. I still believe in equality. Everyone is, at least in the eyes of our Creator we are.

Anyway, this is an old issue and I'm sure the racism will not end here. There will be people like this sales girl. I just hope I won't meet them.
