Walt Disney buys Star Wars and promise Episode VII for 2015

Walt Disney Pictures has purchased LucasFilm from its sole owner, Mr. George Lucas, for the amount of $4.05 billion.

Disney's acquisition is almost entirely for the rights of the Star Wars franchise, including all the various media (movies, TV, games, toys, etc) that it encompasses.

And then here's the big announcement -- Walt Disney Pictures will be releasing Star Wars: Episode VII in theaters sometime (almost certainly in the summer) in 2015. Star Wars: Episode VIII and Star Wars: Episode IX will follow in 2017 and 2019, respectively.

They are giving back life to Star Wars movie! And it's great!!!

As part of the deal, George Lucas will continue to serve as an advisor for the franchise, but he will not be writing or directing any of the films in the new trilogy.

The search for the writer of Episode 7 is currently ongoing. ~I hope they find the right one.

Star Wars is another epic movie in the history of film making. And ever since, I am a fan. Hearing this news gives hope to the movie. Generations of today will have a taste of one of the best movie every made.
