J.K. Rowling's "The Casual Vacancy" is dull!

...and she thought of publishing children's book next.

I've been a fan of J.K. Rowling since the beginning of Harry Potter. But her latest release "The Casual Vacancy" is not my cup of tea.

It's not a secret that "The Casual Vacancy" has underwhelmed many critics and readers. According to the New York Times, "Unfortunately, the real-life world she has limned in these pages is so willfully banal, so depressingly clichéd that 'The Casual Vacancy' is not only disappointing—it's dull."

Daily News also said, "The magic simply isn't there, Indeed, the spell has been broken."

As for Rowling's next book she wants it to be for children. "I have a lot of things on my laptop currently, including a couple of things for children—for a slightly younger age group than 'Harry Potter' was aimed at—which are nearly done and will, I think, be the next thing I publish, I have run them by my children and they seem to like them, which is always a good sign."

But as far as "Harry's story is concerned," Rowling simply said, "I'm done."

I do hope Rowling can come up with something as big as Harry's story...I'd like that!
