"Erik Tutpik at si Ana Taba"

This book is written by Rita Avila.

Last Sept. 15, 2012, The 33rd Manila International Book Fair was held at  SMX Convention Center at SM Mall of Asia.

Luckily, I was one of the few who bought Rita Avila's book "Erik Tutpik at si Ana Taba". I also had the chance to have a picture taken with her.

Earlier today I read the book. The book is written in Filipino, it has colored pages with simple drawings.

This picture below shows Rita Avila's autograph. :)

"Erik Tutpik at si Ana Taba" has a good story for children, it's easy to understand too. The story is about two different kids who became good friends despite their differences. The boy is as thin as a toothpick and the girl Ana is fat. Erik is hardworking while Ana is lazy.

Often they were bullied by other kids. But at the end of the day Erik and Ana showed goodness to the kids who bullied them. They shared food with them, and that made the other kids realized their mistakes. Soon all of them became friends. The End!

About the author, Rita Avila finished B.S. Hotel and Restaurant Management at University of Sto. Tomas. She is an actress by profession where she did a lot of movies and TV shows locally. Her last TV show is "Walang Hanggan" where she stopped because of health issues.

If you are looking for a gift for children this book is an idea.

Until next time Cute-rs,
-shaw
