Neil Armstrong, the First Man on the Moon dead at 82!

Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the Moon.

In July 20, 1969 he became the mission commander of the Apollo 11 who was able to land on the moon together with Buzz Aldrin and Michel Collins. Neil spent 2 1/2 hours exploring the dry dusty moon.

He spent a total of 8 days, 14 hours, 12 minutes, and 31 seconds in space during his expedition. He was known for the saying, 'One small step for a man, one giant leap for mankind'.

Neil died due to complications from blocked coronary arteries after he had heart-bypass surgery which he underwent earlier this month.

The former astronaut lived in the Cincinnati area with his wife, Carol.
