Movie Pick: Interview with the Vampire

This movie is an old one. "Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles", a 1994 movie from Anne Rice's novel starred Brad Pitt, Christian Slater, Tom Cruise, Kirsten Dunst and more.

Nope, this is not the first time I've watched this but last night I did watched it again.

Tom Cruise is one of my favorite actor of all time. And today, I think a vampire story is in the loop that is why I felt the need to watch it again.

Let me tell you a short piece of what's in my mind. I think vampires in this movie "Interview with the Vampire" is classic. They can burn in the sun, their skin does not glow like diamonds, they can glide, they have supernatural powers, they never grow old and cannot die too easily. Hmmm...sounds like modern vampires minus the glowing part and maybe a few details. Did I say, glowing skin for vampire is ridiculous?

Anyway, the life of a vampire is too lonely to bear. I think it's the lack of companionship, the absence of family and the capacity to fell in-love. --- Well, yes that is a tragic life.

The upside of the story, they have their entire life to study all kinds of things, to know all things (-- I think this is the part where they get the idea of Vampires being witty most of the time), to be immortal, powerful and awfully strong.

Who would want a life like that?

I am fascinated about vampires and alike. There are so much mystery, there are so many questions. However, turning into one is a different story.

To move on, you may watch trailer below:

Steak through the heart, holy water and garlic are all myths in killing a vampire. Why, aren't vampires a myth? It's a story within a story and there are too much to talk about and to discuss but I don't have all day.

But as I end my entry I just want to say that this is one topic I really enjoy reading, watching and talking about. Not only vampires but the Supernaturals in general.

...and the mystery continue,
-shaw
